About this project

Dredging in the area of the WSA Duisburg-Rhein from km 759,700 to 865,500

Maintenance dredging with a bucket dredger on the river Rhine. The aim was to dredge the shallows from the river. We had to deliver very flat work here and accurately cut the trajectory to a depth with a maximum tolerance of 5 cm.

The implementation of this project was to take place in 2018 and 2019, but due to the increasing dry periods, the rivers in the Netherlands and Germany were faced with extremely low water levels. The drought in 2018 lasted seven months. At the beginning of 2019, the Aalscholver could finally leave for Duisburg.
